SECOND CHARITY CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION FOR REFUGEES
Rotary Club Odessa International organized a second distribution of donated clothing for families arriving in the Odesa region. With the support of partner charities and dedicated volunteers, children, women, and men fleeing active hostilities received essential clothing, warmth, and care, helping them feel supported during these challenging times.

Humanitarian Clothing Distribution for Refugees
Rotary Club Odessa International supported the first distribution of donated clothing for refugees arriving in the Odesa region. Thanks to the cooperation with partner charities and dedicated volunteers, families fleeing active hostilities received much-needed clothing, warmth, and support during a critical time.

ROTARY FOR THE CHILDREN OF HEROES
The event “Rotary for the Children of Heroes” was held for children of families of missing and fallen servicemen under special circumstances.
Our club supported the celebration by providing Christmas gifts for each child — a box of candies, a book, and a Santa hat. The day was filled with games, bowling, a shared lunch, and joyful moments, reminding every child that they are valued, supported, and never forgotten.

E-Humanitarian Platform for Kherson Region
Rotary Club Odessa International proudly created the Humanitarian E-Platform, a modern regional tool for transparent, systematic, and community-focused information exchange between service providers, authorities, communities, and aid recipients in Kherson.
The platform was developed in collaboration with the Kherson Regional Military Administration and supported by the NGO Resource Center, as part of the mental health program “How Are You?” initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The Companions of Saint Nicholas
Rotary Club Odessa International became The Companions of Saint Nicholas for a day, preparing 135 gifts for children and teenagers across Odessa. Gifts were delivered to The Winds of Changes, Special Children, Early Intervention Methodical Center, and Youth Charity Fund “NEXT”.
Special thanks to Dirk Lustig, Svitlana Feldman, Governor Olga Paliychuk, and the entire Rotary Family of Ukraine for helping make this day truly magical.

Rotary Club District 1920 Austria to Odessa
Rotary Club Odessa International participated in a humanitarian initiative to deliver essential aid to communities in need. Medical equipment and medicines were provided by Rotary Club District 1920 Austria and the Ukrainian Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Balneology (Ministry of Health of Ukraine).
In addition, school furniture, educational materials, and sleeping bags from the charitable foundation Winds of Changes were distributed for use in hospitals, clinics, schools, children’s centers, and shelters across Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions

Supporting Young Players in Avangard Rugby Club (Nova Dolyna)
In a wonderful act of kindness and international friendship, our club member Thierry Monfouga supported the young athletes of Avangard Rugby Club in Nova Dolyna.
Thierry donated 30 brand-new team shirts, helping the children continue their training and feel proud of their dedication to the sport. This initiative is a heartfelt example of how Rotary connects people from different countries for a common purpose — to inspire the next generation in Ukraine.

Digital Support for Kherson Children
our charter member Olena Nedielieva, in cooperation with Rotary Club Moss and its President Lars Erik Hermansen, coordinated a vital project providing 18 laptops and 5 monitors donated by Norwegian organizations.
Delivered by Charity Fund Winds of Change and our own Nataliya Vegrian, these devices reached children in Kherson region and internally displaced families from conflict-affected areas.

U-Crane for the State Emergency Service
Thanks to the generosity of the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, led by Darka Senko, and supported by Rotary World Community Service and the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, this much-needed U-Crane will help Emergency Service teams save the lives of children and adults in the Odessa region.
The official handover event was attended by representatives from Ukraine Crisis Appeal, Rotary Club Odessa International, Cranes Ukraine LLC, and the dedicated team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Thanks to the support and cooperation of Rotary Clubs in Odesa, the Civil-Military Cooperation Department of the 122nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hosted the event “Rotary for the Children of Heroes”, dedicated to the children of families of missing and fallen servicemen under special circumstances.
The day was filled with laughter, excitement, and fun activities — from a play area and bowling, active games, and a shared lunch. Our mission is to ensure that each child knows they are not forgotten, that they are valued, and that their courage and resilience are recognized.

Helping Those in Need
Rotary Club Odesa International kicked off the Rotary year by launching several meaningful projects. With generous support from our Club's big friend Yuliya, we were able to donate a much-needed mechanical bed to wounded soldiers at the Odesa hospital.
Additionally, thanks to further generous contributions, we delivered new furniture to one of our partner Children’s Centers. We are deeply grateful to everyone who cares about Ukraine and Odesa and helps us support those most in need.

It was a special day and a special warm evening dinner that included two Past Governors of Ukrainian District, international guests and representatives from other Odesa clubs RC Odesa and RC Odesa Richelieu!

ODESSA MENTAL HEALTH HUB
The leadership of the Department of Health and the Mental Health Center of the Odesa Region approached the Rotary Club of Odesa International to create an information and resource website for the public and specialists supporting mental and psychosocial health.
The website now serves as a central hub, providing information on current services offered by government and non-government organizations, assisting vulnerable groups, the general public, and professionals in the psychosocial support field.

From Odessa to Oslo: A Lifeline for Kateryna and her family
RC Odessa International is proud to have assisted a brave Ukrainian family in relocating to Oslo, Norway, where they can begin a new life. On October 16, 2024, they landed in Oslo, taking the first step toward their new future. With the help of the local Rotary Club Moss, they were able to reach the refugee camp, where they will receive essential support.
This special initiative focused on supporting Kateryna, a courageous three-year-old girl facing severe medical challenges, along with her family, which includes her father, a war veteran. Our project aimed to provide them with the necessary resources and support to ensure a safe and stable future. Together, we are helping to bring hope and healing to those in need.

Medical equipment from italy to Odessa city hospital
RC Odessa International is proud to announce the successful completion of our project aimed at sourcing and delivering essential medical equipment from Italy to City Hospital #1 (Jewish Hospital) in Odesa.
The main donor of the medical equipment was Gruppo San Donato, whose generous contribution significantly enhances the hospital's capacity to provide quality healthcare. This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of our partners at Rotary Club Milano Digital and Assolombarda, who provided vital support throughout the project.

Help Packages of food and hygiene products to 13 families in the village of Shabo
Thanks to financial support of friends of our own Lacarin Christophe continues one of our long term projects delivering Help Packages of food and hygiene products to 13 families in the village of Shabo, Odesa Region!
The families who need help the most - elderly, families with children with disabilities, IDP families were selected in cooperation with local Social Services of village of Shabo.
Help Packages were delivered personally by Christophe Lacarin in April, March, June, July, August and September of this year.

Collecting music instruments for the Odesa National Music Academy
On May 8, in the Great Concert Hall of the Odesa National Music Academy A. V. Nezhdanova, was held the hand-over ceremony of 28 musical instruments for students’ practice brought by our Rotary Club Odessa International. The instruments were provided by the Amedeo Modigliani Musical Association of Livorno, which donated 12 violins, 12 clarinets, 4 transverse flutes, from the Teatro Goldoni Livorno. This donation will be split between the Music Academy and the Petr Stoliarsky Lyceum of Music, famous for producing some of the world's greatest violinists.This project was possible thanks to help of our friends in Livorno Nicola Minervini, Laura Brioli e Mario Menicagli, and our Club member Ines Berezina De Moschetti, who coordinated the operation from Tuscany.
The delivery of the instruments from Italy was carried out by the charity association La Memoria Viva of Roberto Falletti, and supported by the Honorary Consul of Italy in Odessa Consolato Onorario d'Italia a Odessa, Vladyslav Shtamburg, who endorses cultural initiatives and humanitarian aid from Italy to Odessa.

Spreading Love and Nourishment to Shabo Families
In the true spirit of Rotary International, we extended a helping hand to 13 families in need from Shabo village, making their holiday season a little brighter.
Our thoughtful food packs, filled with essentials like buckwheat, sugar, sunflower oil, tea, candies for the kids, rice, pasta, tomato paste, corn, and peas, were prepared with love and care.
Acting as our ambassador of compassion, our dedicated member Lacarin Christophe personally delivered these packs to the families in Shabo.

A Warm Gesture to Ochakiv and Kutsuruba communities
A heartfelt salute to our member, Nejat Uluevren, for making a significant impact in the lives of children facing the harsh realities of winter in Ochakiv and Kutsuruba.
In collaboration with Charity Foundation "Winds of Changes" and our member Natalya Vegriyan, Nejat played a pivotal role in delivering sets of winter children's clothing to areas under constant shelling from Russia.
A total of 145 sets were received in the village of Kutsurub, and in Ochakiv - 135 sets.
